The Breeders’ Cup Festival Pastry Challenge, produced in conjunction with Sullivan University, is an exciting baking competition. Baking, Pastry, and Culinary students from Sullivan University will go head-to-head to create the best pastry with the winner’s creation to be served at the exclusive Breeders’ Cup “Taste of the World” event at the Speed Art Museum on Thursday, November 1, 2018.
The “Taste of the World” is a world-class tasting reception featuring 15 renowned chefs serving international tastes inspired by the participating countries of the Breeders’ Cup. The “Taste of the World” is the premier welcome event of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships and is private to the participants of the Breeders’ Cup.
Each student will be asked to incorporate Maker’s Mark Bourbon (the official Bourbon of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships) into their dessert.
The winning student will earn a $2,000 scholarship to Sullivan University.
Two runner-ups will each earn a $1,000 scholarship to Sullivan University.
